Good news today for four recreation amenities across County Clare.
The Department of Rural and Community Development and the Gaeltacht has announced €3.13 million in funding for 2026 under its strategic partnership with Coillte.
County Clare will benefit from investment in the following areas:
Ballycuggaran – General trail maintenance and surfacing improvements within the forest recreation area.
Cratloe – General trail maintenance and surfacing improvements within the forest recreation area.
Kilrush – Minor trail repairs, verge cutting, and targeted tree surgery where required.
Woodpark, Mountshannon – Car park improvement works and the upgrade of 1.4km of trail.
This funding will support the upkeep and enhancement of these valuable local amenities, ensuring they remain accessible and enjoyable for residents and visitors alike.
