It was a pleasure to attend the official launch of County Clare – European Volunteering Capital 2027 last evening.
More than 450 volunteers, agencies, voluntary organisations and community groups gathered at Treacys West County Hotel for a fantastic event marking the beginning of a year-long programme of events and activities across County Clare.
Our volunteers are at the heart of so much of what is positive in communities across Clare, giving their time, energy and commitment to support others and strengthen communities.
Congratulations to Clare County Council, the Clare Volunteer Centre and the Department of Rural and Community Development and the Gaeltacht on an excellent launch night.
Here’s to a fantastic year of celebrating, supporting and showcasing volunteering across County Clare.
