The Blue Star Programme is now open for registrations for the 2026/27 school year.
This free programme from European Movement Ireland helps primary school pupils learn about the European Union and Ireland’s role in it. It covers history, geography, culture and creativity, and the EU institutions in a simple and engaging way.
Schools receive free resources such as maps and passports, along with access to online activities including quizzes, videos and learning materials. There are also opportunities for visits from public representatives and other guests.
With Ireland preparing for the Presidency of the Council of the EU, this is a good opportunity for schools to help young people learn more about Europe.
