I asked the Minister for Agriculture why there are no financial supports for farmers or landowners dealing with Ash Dieback. At present, the responsibility rests entirely with the landowner. As we saw during Storm Éowyn, and recently in Clare, these weakened trees pose a serious public safety risk. Landowners are being left to carry significant costs for what is clearly a wider safety issue.
