Broadford and Cooraclare wastewater funding

I warmly welcome today’s announcement by Minister James Browne confirming full Government funding for the pilot rural wastewater projects in Cooraclare and Broadford.

People in both communities have waited long enough. The lack of proper wastewater infrastructure has held back development for years, so this decision is a very positive step forward.

The priority now is to get the work done. As I’ve done time and again in Dáil Éireann since being elected, I’m calling on the Minister and his Department to work closely with Uisce Éireann and Clare County Council to make sure these schemes move ahead without delay. Once completed, these projects will support housing, protect the environment and allow both villages to grow and thrive.
