A huge crowd gathered at Hotel Woodstock on Friday for Farming in Clare – What the Future Holds, where a wide range of farming issues were discussed.
Attendees heard directly from Minister for Agriculture Martin Heydon, along with Clare farmers and representatives of Clare Macra na Feirme, Clare Irish Farmers’ Association, Clare ICMSA, and Irish Cattle and Sheep Farmers’ Association.
Issues discussed included derogation, TB, paperwork, reduction, designation, and farm succession. A large number of farm-focused businesses also exhibited throughout the day.

The event coincided with ‘Generation Renewal Week‘, which is being hosted by Teagasc.
