As your local Fine Gael TD, I want to make sure that people in Clare are aware of the supports available through Clare County Council to help improve living conditions in their homes.
A number of housing adaptation grants are currently open for applications:
- Housing Aid for Older People Grant
This is for people aged 66 and over who need essential repairs carried out, allowing them to continue living in their own home. In certain cases, this grant can also be made available to people under 66 where hardship applies. - Housing Adaptation Grant for Disabled People
This is designed for people living with a physical, sensory, mental health or intellectual disability. It supports larger adaptations that may be needed in the home. - Mobility Aids Grant
This grant is for older people and people with disabilities who experience difficulty moving around their homes due to mobility challenges.
