Joe Cooney TD raises access to affordable housing

At the Oireachtas Housing Committee, I told Department of Housing officials that our affordable housing system isn’t working for those caught between two stools, people who earn too much for social housing but can’t get a mortgage. We need a fairer, more flexible system where the State takes a shared stake in homes so more people can buy. Too many are being left behind and stuck living at home with their parents.
